Who we are

This policy covers the Stepasaurus iPhone app and website. It explains the information involved in providing these services and the choices available to you.

Stepasaurus is operated by Libertas Media LLC, based in Brooklyn, New York. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Libertas Media LLC.

Apple Health and your steps

With your permission, Stepasaurus reads step data from Apple Health to support hatching, step goals, coin rewards, and dinosaur growth. You can manage the app’s Health permissions in your iPhone’s Health or Settings app. Removing access affects features that rely on your steps.

We store your step data to provide these features and share it with Firebase for storage.

Account and app information

To register, you provide an email address and password, or sign in using your Google account. We use this information to create your account and authenticate your access.

The information we store for your Stepasaurus account is limited to account-access information and step data.

Subscriptions and purchases

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions alongside Apple. Subscriptions purchased through the App Store are billed by Apple. Apple handles the payment information you provide to it under its own privacy policy.

Subscription management involves an app-user identifier and purchase or subscription information used to recognize your entitlement and restore access. This is separate from the account-access and step data described above. Learn more about RevenueCat’s customer identifiers and Apple’s privacy practices.

Website and support

If you contact us, we use the information you provide to respond to your request.

When you visit the website, its hosting and delivery services process technical connection information, such as your IP address and requested page, to deliver the site and help protect it against abuse. The website does not ask for access to Apple Health. Fonts are served directly from this website.

Support correspondence is used to address your inquiry and is kept only as long as needed to resolve it and meet applicable legal obligations. Please do not send passwords or unnecessary health information by email.

Storage, security, and deletion

You can delete your Stepasaurus account in the app’s Settings. Deleting your account immediately removes your account-access information and step data from the active Stepasaurus service, including its active Firebase storage. We do not retain this information for continued use after deletion.

While your account is active, account-access information and step data are stored to provide the app. Service providers may retain limited technical records or backup copies under their own deletion schedules and legal obligations. Deleting Stepasaurus does not delete your Apple or Google account, data in Apple Health, or records independently maintained by those providers.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your sign-in information private and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account access.

Your choices and privacy rights

You can manage Health access and notification permissions on your iPhone. Deleting your Stepasaurus account does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately through Apple.

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent. Contact hello@libertasmedia.co to make a request. We may need to verify your identity to protect your information, and will respond within the period required by applicable law. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Where a legal basis is required, account and subscription processing supports providing the service you request; optional Health access relies on your permission and any consent required by law. Support and website security serve our legitimate interests, subject to your rights. Information may also be processed to meet legal obligations. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

A parent or guardian can contact us to request access to or deletion of a child’s information. We may request information needed to verify their authority. We will address the request in accordance with applicable law, including obtaining any consent required for continued processing or deleting information where required.

Changes and contact

When this policy changes, the updated version and its effective date will appear on this page. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
