Troubleshoot missing or different step counts

Find where your step count stopped updating.

Start with Apple Health

  1. Check the affected day in Apple Health. Stepasaurus relies on the steps recorded there.
  2. Confirm Stepasaurus has permission to read Steps.
  3. Reopen Stepasaurus and allow time for it to update.
  4. If you are hatching, remember that hatching progress starts when the egg is activated.

Your wearable has more steps than Apple Health

Open the wearable’s companion app, check its sync status, and confirm that step sharing with Apple Health is enabled. If necessary, use the manual sync option in that app.

Apple Health favors a different device

Open Steps → Data Sources & Access and check the order. Move the source you want to prioritize to the top. Our wearable guide includes the illustrated walkthrough.

Apple Health has updated but Stepasaurus has not

Check Stepasaurus’s read permission and reopen the app. If it still differs, contact support with the date, totals in each app, your iPhone model, and wearable model if applicable.
