Earn coins by walking

Walking is the main way to earn coins in Stepasaurus. Use your coins to feed your dinosaur and restore their health.

When coins arrive

Steps earn coins you can spend on feeding and healing. Rewards are calculated overnight and become available to collect when you next open the app.

During the egg stage, coins accumulate but are not available to collect until your dinosaur has hatched.

Earn extra coins beyond your step goal

You continue earning extra coins when you walk beyond your daily step goal, up to a daily limit. Once you reach that limit, additional steps will not earn more coins for that day.

The limit encourages consistent activity from day to day, rather than earning a week’s worth of walking rewards in one big day.

Buy extra coins

You can also purchase coins in the app, with different package sizes available. Check the available packages and prices in the app before purchasing. Walking remains the main way to earn coins.

If you walked today

Today’s steps do not immediately become spendable coins. Check again after the overnight calculation.

If you use a wearable

Check that your wearable’s latest steps have reached Apple Health. Stepasaurus cannot read steps that are still waiting to sync from the wearable.

How your step goal affects coins

The coin cost of a meal scales with your daily step goal. Your dinosaur needs five meals per day. If you change your step goal, your coin balance adjusts accordingly.
